We'd casually known each other thru a group of mutual friends. Thanks to some wise words from LaToyia's friend Nate, she reached out to me one weekend while I was in town from L.A. We agreed to meet early one evening on one of my next trips to Dallas and, well, several hundred evenings later here we were!!

We quickly realized the long list of things we had in common- from hiking, to lazy days watching football (I forgave her for being a Cowboys fan) to lazy weeks spent on beaches on Caribbean islands.

The proposal happened at the Dallas Arboretum. Knowing that LaToyia's inquisitive nature would never let me just suggest an afternoon at the arboretum, I devised a bogus evening for a semi-formal event that my job was hosting at the Arboretum. I knew that would be enough to not have her prompt many questions.

I had a spot picked out that I wanted to pop the question at, so I coordinated with a photographer to have her already in position as we walked past this spot. It went just as planned, and needless to say, it was a total surprise.

We will say I DO!! on 2/3/23 on the white sand beaches of the Hilton La Romana resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. For those on the guest list, come and join us for a fabulous trip and celebrate with us as we start this journey to make a lifetime of memories.
